RADIOLOGY AIDE - MEDICAL IMAGING DEPARTMENT (PRN) - Military veterans preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides direct patient care which includes: obtaining vital signs, administering oral fluids, and assisting patients with dressing. Screens patients, and gives thorough explanations of procedure to be performed. Prepares patients for exams and obtains crucial patient information regarding their testing.

Compassionately gives personal patient care to provide comfort, safety and well-being to the patient when transporting and during procedure.

Completes documentation thoroughly, legibly and accurately according to department guidelines and in a timely manner. Monitors, observes, and reports patient condition to appropriate personnel.

Prioritizes and performs duties to complete daily assignment in an appropriate and timely manner. Handles multiple tasks at once.

Performs transfer of patient according to hospital guidelines to/from department and/ or imaging modality/ device. Utilizes professional skills with necessary equipment.

Searches for better ways of doing things recommending and/ or initiating suggestions for improvement of departmental operations and/ or services provided. Participates in CQI.

Works well with others and supports team efforts. Provides quality service to all customers (Internal and External). 

Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in accepting work assignments. Responds positively to changing circumstances. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: 

High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical background preferred. One year training period. BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.
