Responsibilities

As a collaborative member of the healthcare team, the Chaplain Associate shall provide spiritual care for patients, families, volunteers, hospital and medical staff; participate in departmental activities as required; perform all duties in ways promoting organizational and departmental missions and values.



Qualifications

Education: 

Bachelor's Degree required.

Professional Theological Degree, e.g. M.Div., MTS, BD, desirable, and/or one unit of ACPE Certified Clinical Pastoral Education, or equivalent, required, with one year ACPE Certified Clinical Pastoral Education desirable.

 

Experience: 

One year of full-time Pastoral experience, or equivalent.

 

Skills:

Spiritual perspectives and sensitivity to persons in stress.

Ability to listen well and speak with individuals and small groups.

Theological competence.

Skill with interdisciplinary team cooperation.

Excellent communication skills.

Skill with interfaith cooperation.

Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
