Position Title: Mid-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required; exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered if eligible to obtain an interim clearance within 3 months
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Travel: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:
The Mid-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Provide cybersecurity engineering support in the development and maintenance of MDA's IC common use systems in RMF using MDA's Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
• Review, update, and process ATO and IATT renewals; review Control and Package workflows using MDA's eMASS instance
• Maintain Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), including AO Liens
• Produce and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed by the ISSM
• Support MDA Control Validation Testing (CVTs) through tasking and tracking of deliverables to ensure timely completion
• Support MDA during cybersecurity inspections (e.g., MCTO, CCRI)
• Document and review Security Controls and Control Correlation Identifier (CCI) answers
• Interface with Admins, the ISSM, and other ISSOs to provide coordinated responses on IC common use systems
• Participate in technical discussions with Government and Contract customers
• Perform Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) activities on assigned systems

The successful candidate will:

• Have demonstrable experience with ATO packages, including Customer Responsibility Matrices for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments
• Have demonstrable knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Have demonstrable experience using the eMASS tool
• Have fundamental networking knowledge

Basic Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must have 6 or more years of general (full-time) work experience
• Must have 4 or more years of directly related experience
• Must have direct experience with eMASS
• Must be able to maintain a restricted badge and work on site 5 days per week
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
• Must have or obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Experience with BMC Remedy
• Fundamental project management knowledge
• Experience drafting and peer reviewing policies and procedures
• Familiarity with CND tools such as ACAS, ESS, and E-STIG

Compensation:
Salary range is $100,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and any certifications directly related to the position.
