Bestica is hiring a Respiratory Care Provider Instructor to provide services at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, CSTARS Cincinnati, US Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, located in Cincinnati, OH.

Description Of Services: The Employee shall meet all requirements for a contract Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) to support the United States Air Force’s Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) training program. The Employee shall provide expert-level instruction, simulation support, and simulated ground and in-flight clinical oversight during training events. The RCP shall ensure that all CCATT students receive advanced respiratory care education and practical experience necessary to manage complex patients in simulated operational environments. The Employee shall support 711 HPW, USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department (ET) to serve as an RCP for CSTARS Critical Care Air Transport Course-Advanced (CCAT-A), located in Cincinnati, OH.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 0730–1630. However, there may be times when it is necessary for them to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks. Although at times schedules may have to be flexible, full-time FTEs will not exceed 40 hours per week.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and hold either a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. (No patient care).
  • Possess and maintain an active, unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in acute care settings, with at least two (2) years in critical care.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) both from American Heart Association
  • Shall complete the Basic Instructors Course (BIC) within 60 days of hire, then complete 60 instructor hours to be qualified.
  • Employee must be able to lift < 50 pounds and move human patient simulation equipment to and from training areas, work in low-light, high-volume environments, and differing weather conditions simulating actual aeromedical evacuation missions.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
  • Prior military or CCAT aeromedical evacuation experience.
