POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will manage shipping and receiving activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain all inventory counts for raw materials, components, and finished goods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare bills of lading and other documentation required for shipments
Prepare and maintain records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information
Review shipments and accompanying documents for quality and accuracy
Confirm shipping details or special instructions; expedite shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule
Coordinate shipment and transport of goods with outside carriers
Accurately maintain shipping records, using the company’s proprietary QIS software system
Maintain up-to-date inventory counts on raw materials, components, and finished goods
Provide necessary documents and reports to accounting or other associated departments
Load and unload materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and other equipment such as forklifts) both for production needs and shipping purposesÂ
Operate all company equipment in a safe, efficient manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisors, and other management staff in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage
Promptly notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
Maintain warehouse organization in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Two years of shipping and receiving experience, including over a year in the automotive industry
Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports
Forklift experience needed
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be able to obtain a chauffer’s license
Good organizational skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures, including ISO 9001 operating requirements
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Ability to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to nationwide criminal record search, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by RSI
