We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work on a variety of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pump Stations out of our Sacramento office. A Senior Manager will help you guide the team and take on responsibility to become a valued member of the team. The position has the ability to take on substantial project management responsibilities and accelerate their career.


This person will work closely with the project manager, area manager, company executives, project owner, superintendent as well as Myers and Sons’ internal staff to complete the project in a timely and effective manner. This person must be self-motivated and good with communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in Creating the Project Budget and Buyout Strategy
  2. Partner with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan
  3. Maintain thorough understanding of the Myers/Owner contract
  4. Oversee the pay request process
  5. Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report
  6. Analyze and forecast monthly Total Cost Projection reports
  7. Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel
  8. Monitor project labor
  9. Lead the project’s quality process
  10. Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes
  11. Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners
  12. Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs

  1. 2+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related heavy civil construction projects
  2. Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and self-perform work
  3. Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
  4. Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills
