Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant in the Office of Clinical Affairs will provide essential support to the Senior Associate Dean and act as a liaison between the Office of Clinical and Faculty Affairs and both internal and external partners. This role requires a high level of discretion in handling sensitive information, effective management of office workflow, and support for planning and administrative processes. The position plays a key role in advancing priorities that align with the School’s Mission and Vision.
The ideal candidate is a creative, personable, and enthusiastic individual with a strong background in office operations, capable of optimizing processes and will provide support that contributes to the overall success of the Offices of Clinical Affairs and Faculty Affairs, and School of Dental Medicine at large. Applicants should have skills to work both as part of a team and in an independent manner. This position has regular interactions with faculty, staff, and students and thus must be able to function professionally and confidentially in a healthcare office environment. This position reports to the Senior Associate Dean.
Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.
Duties Include:
• Acts as a liaison for the Office of Clinical and Faculty Affairs to other university offices, school departments, etc.
• Provides high level clerical and administrative support to the Office of Clinical and Faculty Affairs, and serves as coordinator of meetings,
activities and events involving the Office.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining the deans’ schedules.
• Ensuring compliance with credentialing and managing school-wide credentialing database
• Develop and implement effective, streamlined workflows and process management for the Office of Clinical Affairs.
• Responsible for highly sensitive correspondence, administrative reports, and other documents.
• Assists in determining and updating procedures and has input into developing policy.
• Performs a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions independently; provides specialized technical or project support for academic
or administrative departments as it relates to administrative tasks.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and transport small parcels, packages and other items, to move short distances.
