Overview

The MRO Buyer will plan, quote, purchase release, schedule, expedite and monitor materials/equipment required for the Company. They will manage daily inventory and schedules, including material requirements with manufacturing and maintenance; and manage special projects if given with a strategic mindset.

• Request and review quotations from suppliers including price, delivery, brand, and quality. 
• Enter purchase orders into the SAP Expedite purchase orders as required to ensure timely delivery.    
• Dispense parts to maintenance, production, and engineering departments as required.
• Analyze products and suppliers for possible consolidation/elimination of multiple parts/suppliers. 
• Discuss price and products with supplier inside sales representatives and meet with outside sales representatives to identify new products and systems to improve the value of parts or services purchased.
• Negotiate Terms and Costs
• Resolve Invoicing discrepancies.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively in all environments, ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Negotiating skills necessary, with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Knowledge/Experience/Education:

• 1-3 years of experience in procurement in a Manufacturing Environment strongly preferred
• SAP experience preferred

 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required

Physical Requirements:

• Position involves sitting for long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
