The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician Lead to support the operations of the Pharmacy Services; prepares ancillary supply orders for shipment to patients; performs IV admixtures under supervision of the Pharmacist; maintains the clean-room and anteroom; and participates in Quality Control and Quality Improvement activities.

Part-time Inpatient pharmacy technician position. Position supports the operations of the department and pharmacists. Tasks include sterile (IV) and non sterile medication preparation, processing medication orders, filling and maintaining Omnicell cabinets, answering phones/EPIC med messages and triaging for pharmacists. Inpatient pharmacy experience, including sterile IV preparation and Omnicell familiarity are strongly preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Prior pharmacy tech/clerk experience or current pharmacy tech student or program graduate preferred. 
• IV Admixture experience preferred. 
• Basic familiarity with computers preferred. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
