Job Description:
Sumaria requires a Senior Avionics Equipment Specialist to support the F-16 program office.
-Support program requirements to include: D043/D143C, IDTODS, FIN, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System, FSS, ETIMS, F-16 OCM, Haystack and other databases relating to the aircraft and its systems to help determine problem areas on assigned systems and items.
-Accomplish studies, review and analysis of technical problems/malfunctions affecting assigned equipment generated from a variety of sources including DRs, AFTO Form 22s, MSTG/SSG, telephone calls, IDEAS and aircraft mishaps.
-When corrective actions are presented by using commands, contractors, and others, assist to evaluate for technical adequacy and economic feasibility; determining method of implementation (e.g., TCTO or TO change).
-Support program IPTs to include engineering, program management, other equipment specialists, lead and chief engineers and civilian and military leadership within the F-16 Division/FB Directorate, other AFLCMC directorates, AFLCMC headquarters, AFRL, HQ AFMC, ACC, DoD, EPAFs, prime weapon system contractor and subcontractors, and other Government and private sector personnel.
-Support various F-16 activities and organizations including the F-16 Consolidated Board, F-16 JMCCT/B, and F-16 System Safety Groups; and participate in formal and informal F-16 program reviews.
-Assist Government equipment specialists, integrators and engineers in conducting special research projects as assigned; and support the USAF PM in all tasks related to this effort.
-Support trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/technical data verification; report findings, kit issues, and corrective actions and make recommendations to the responsible engineer or PM.
-Support feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure systems, subsystems and equipment being developed are mutually compatible and serve to meet overall operational and technical requirements.
-Provide assistance in troubleshooting avionics systems and developing improvements leading to the resolution of issues identified with fielded and fielding for all avionics systems including, but not limited to, radar, controls and displays, data bus, communication, navigation, identification, electronic warfare, and sensor systems and other systems and components as defined in, or derived from, program requirements.
-Support as the technical content manager for avionics systems and TOs assigned; assist to establish the requirement for and prepare TCTOs and TOs for both field and depot level maintenance operations, repair inspection and testing of the complete weapon systems.
-Perform verifications of technical data as a member of the technical verification team and pre/post publication review group to determine technical accuracy of data and proper sequence of the technical content.
Required Skills/Education:
Minimum 10 years F-16 Aircraft Avionics experience; experience in aircraft avionics development, integration, and sustainment specific to the F-16 Aircraft.
