We are actively searching for Configuration Manager Skill Level 3, located in Maryland, to support our team. We have varying levels of this position, depending on years of experience and education.


Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems. Work on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems. Use or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures. Develop or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system. Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life. Perform change control and configuration audits.

The Level 3 Configuration Manager shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Assist in implementing HW and SW version control processes, policies and procedures
  • Understand basic concepts, and assist in documenting HW and SW configuration management processes and procedures
  • Understand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for HW and SW product build, staging, testing and integration
  • Utilize configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items
  • Maintain the CM environment for HW and SW product build, staging, testing and integration
  • Develop and implement HW and SW version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on HW and SW development projects
  • Define, implement and apply concepts for HW and SW configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the HW and SW build process
  • Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) the Government Change Control Board (CCB)
  • Work independently and define and implement HW and SW configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the HW and SW build process

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A Master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience, thereby reducing the total years experience to 6.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 additional years of CM experience may be substituted.

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 160,000 USD per year(PTC - MD)
