Responsibilities

Location: Remote

Pay: $20/hour

 

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating medical services, locating providers, and negotiating rates to ensure timely and efficient delivery of care to our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locate and coordinate with providers to fulfill medical orders (e.g., wheelchairs, in-home services, DME, diagnostic studies, physical medicine, and home health aids)
  • Negotiate rates with out-of-network providers to secure necessary services
  • Schedule medical appointments and services accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, insurance carriers, provider offices, attorney offices, and injured workers
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all interactions and scheduling activities
  • Communicate effectively between various stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a customer service role required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a medical/healthcare, worker’s compensation, or insurance field preferred
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology/coding or medical billing practices preferred
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
