Position Purpose Summary

This position leads community engagement and event management for the Impact Fellowships Network (IFN), including developing and maintaining relationships with program partners, members and vendors. The position will provide vision and leadership, including programmatic and logistical development and implementation, budgetary oversight, data management, and staff mentoring, including oversight of specific program activities and coaching of other team members.

The position also provides project management and coordination efforts with the Strategic Partnerships Unit and the Leadership Practice as directed and available.

Your Background & Skills

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in international development, international education, business, or related field, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience implementing international education programs and demonstrating relevant progressive experience with a focus on exchange or alumni programming and/or professional training/development programs.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing high-profile events with diverse partner networks.
  • Experience with private sector or philanthropic grants.
  • Experience recruiting and managing partners.
  • Minimum of two years mentoring staff or similar experience, preferred.
  • Experience with procurement procedures and sub-award management, preferred.
  • Experience monitoring program budgets, preferred.
  • Experience in coaching, advising, or other relevant leadership development work with young professionals, preferred.
  • Experience in presentations, facilitation and training/workshop development, preferred.

Skills

  • Skills in or interest in developing capacity for related platforms including Salesforce, Mailchimp, Submittable, Canvas, or similar.
  • Demonstrated understanding of collective leadership and community engagement concepts.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member with consistent ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan strategically and creatively to meet specified objectives with strong ability to anticipate challenges and generate solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing and document proofing skills, with experience documenting program impact using data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, especially Excel.
  • Professionalism in written correspondence and report writing, excellent oral presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Availability for potential domestic and international travel.

Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Support team leadership in all aspects of program implementation to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables for the Impact Fellowships Network (IFN).
  • Lead the community engagement strategy which involves the recruitment and management of program partners/members.
  • Lead the implementation of key external events for IFN including the Impact Fellowships Summit (IFS), networking receptions and other strategically identified opportunities that align with the community engagement strategy. In this role, they will manage compliance around procurement, subawards and contracts implementation, partnership monitoring and records management for associated events, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the design and implementation of community engagement strategies for other programs, units and proposals.
  • Support the design and implementation of event management strategies for other programs, units and proposals.
  • Identify and represent LP at relevant networks and events.
  • Liaise with the IREX Strategic Partnerships Unit and the Strategic Communications Unit.
  • Other support duties as needed.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

Please note: While we aim to offer competitive compensation, not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
