World Learning is seeking five coaches to provide both 1:1 and small group support for 100 undergraduate students (junior-level). These students are passionate about public service and will be engaging in a summer work-travel experience. Coaches will provide feedback and guidance as students plan this experience, which could include locations domestically, internationally, or both.
The goal for this individualized and small group support is to guide students in identifying the public service issue area they will focus on, selecting communities and locations for travel, mapping out key organizations, establishing achievable learning outcomes, and sharing approaches to communication for securing opportunities. This includes providing feedback on their planning templates, which may require regular revisions and updates until each submission meets established standards.
Time Commitment and Compensation
This position requires an average of 8 hours per week between August 15, 2025 - May 15 2026, including established weekly office hours for individualized student support and planned group support via "neighborhoods."
Note: Weekly hours may fluctuate due to the free-flow nature of Office Hours, however, coaches should expect the busiest period of the year to fall during January and February, 2026 when students' planning template submissions are due. During the busy January and February months, working hours may closer to 15 - 20/week.
This position is remotely based, includes an hourly compensation rate, and does not include benefits.
