REI is looking for a day shift Machine Operator, working a 12-hour rotating scheduled (6am-6pm) in our Lawrenceville Thermal operation. Under general supervision, the Machine Operator performs production activities, which require a working knowledge of various chemical processes, operations and machines. The machine operator will

  • set-up and operate multiple machines and equipment for production operations, and may assist lower level workers with these processes
  • monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Oversee and monitor to ensure quality and performs verifications and inspections of product.
  • Assist in the training of new employees and aids employees with questions regarding work standards.
  • Document all department functions daily, by keeping accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance to equipment.

Experience

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Speaks and understands English
