Paradigm is hiring for a Clinical Education Specialist. This position holds accountability for supporting the onboarding process, development and education of all clinical and non-clinical staff. The Clinical Education Specialist collaborates with practice subject matter experts, IT business analysts, and clinical leaders to develop educational programs and learning content that enhances clinical practice, promotes exceptional care standards, and supports recruitment and retention. The Clinical Education Specialist also supports all required compliance training.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop education programs and learning content that is reflective of evidence-based clinical practice and uses the appropriate methods of teaching to accommodate learning styles and the learning environment.
  • Partner with clinical practice subject matter experts, operational leaders, and cross-functional business partners to understand training needs, develop appropriate content, and recommend approaches to meet intended learning outcomes for clinical staff
  • Provide expertise in designing effective blended learning programs to support organizational learning and development needs.
  • Incorporate a variety of instructional tools and technology in developing high-quality and engaging learning materials.
  • Apply adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategy.
  • Create strong alignment between program competencies, course-level objectives, assessments, and learning activities to improve learner outcomes.
  • Evaluate outcomes of clinical educational programs and utilize findings for continued improvement.
  • Incorporate feedback and evaluation results related to clinical performance to modify future programs to better meet learning goals for clinical staff.
  • Support the organization in the delivery of new hire onboarding/orientation and other learning programs through online and instructor-led classrooms, and individual coaching across all departments.
  • Lead or assist in training for technical systems rollouts, and enhancements to ensure consistent adoption of clinical application systems.
  • Maintain existing courses/instructional materials in the learning management system (LMS) on a maintenance schedule, and work with content owners to ensure up to date and continued relevance.
  • Serves as a clinical content SME as needed to support educational goals of clinical teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience
    • Education – Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Health-related field and unrestricted licensure as a health professional; or Certification as a Case Manager
    • Experience – Five years of experience in case management, and experience in the education of the adult learner is preferred.
  • Competencies
    • Language Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to simplify complex material for learning and development, utilize negotiation/conflict resolution skills to resolve issues, and provide creative solutions and ideas.
    • Computer Literacy- Intermediate computer skills including working knowledge of the Internet, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and other tools/programs utilized for distance learning and webinar presentations.
    • Willing and able to learn new technical skills as necessary.
    • Reasoning Ability - Ability to learn new processes quickly. Ability to analyze workflow and make recommendations for changing processes (e.g., simplifying) as appropriate.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work are essential.
    • Work is generally independent and virtually collaborative in nature.
    • Able to travel once a year
