CONVERGE Communications Specialist
Housed within the Department of Medicine Center for Research on Health Care, CONVERGE is a multidisciplinary, collaborative research center focused on advancing sexual and reproductive health equity through innovative research, policy analysis, and community partnerships. CONVERGE is hiring a communications Director. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
The communications director will facilitate dissemination of research and scholarly findings via various outlets, including social media, press releases, etc. Incumbent will maintain the website and other public-facing channels. They will supervise all communications activities and manage all social media for Center projects and work with research teams to draft messaging for experimental evaluation with on-line panels, social media and in other outlets.
Develops complex web and print content and marketing. Acts as strategic contributor for communications team and creates diverse marketing materials for marketing team. Participates in meetings designed for content planning and development. Ensures consistent messaging and maintains University brand and style.
Requires the ability to visualize a computer screen, to work with computer hardware and software, to communicate verbally and in writing, and to use a phone. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of English.
Position is mostly sedentary work.
