Position Summary:


BRG seeks a full-time, experienced Director of Shared Services in the Accounting Department. The Director of Shared Services will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and will manage the Accounts Payable, Payroll and Treasury functions on a global level.

We are seeking a highly experienced professional who is flexible, committed to quality, customer service, teamwork, and supporting firm and department goals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, technology, organizational, and analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the global accounts payable, treasury, and payroll teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors and employees, effective cash management, compliance with regulations, and implementation of best practices.
  • Coordinates cross-departmentally to maintain internal controls, streamline processes, and enhance the overall financial workflow.
  • Utilize business knowledge to analyze process lifecycles, metrics, and KPIs, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and control improvements through redesign and automation.
  • Lead change management initiatives to implement best practices, improving customer service and accuracy.
  • Create and refine policies and procedures to address customer needs, compliance, efficiency, and internal control requirements
  • Oversee payroll processes for US and international locations to verify accuracy and compliance. Maintain, oversee, and update payroll policies and procedures.
  • Direct the preparation and submission of federal and state reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support and provide leadership to BRG’s broader efforts to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of procurement activities. Ensure the accuracy of payments and data input and otherwise support procurement processes.
  • Oversee cash management and optimal management of cash flow, including forecasting, liquidity management, and investment strategies to ensure optimal utilization of company funds.
  • Manage vendor relationships, resolve payment issues, and negotiate payment terms and contracts.
  • Participate in the fiscal year close procedures and respond to inquiries from various internal stakeholders, employees and vendors.
  • Facilitate collaboration between A/P, Payroll, and Treasury with broader Accounting team to ensure reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of federal 1099 forms, and maintenance of accounts payable policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, to ensure seamless integration of payroll and accounts payable processes and systems.
  • Prepare written goals and objectives for departmental activities, translating them into successful action plans.
  • Lead a team of professionals, setting goals, establishing a culture of collaboration, and providing regular performance feedback.
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving and action planning skills to improve internal and external operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required, MBA or comparable advance degree desirable
  • 10+ years of finance-connected shared service experience including accounts payable, treasury and payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll regulations, treasury management and financial reporting.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to develop and manage team resources to grow the business.
  • Strong executive presence and professional image, comfortable interacting with senior leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in fast-paced environment while managing projects with a high degree of accuracy while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with relevant financial systems and packages including Workday
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service both internally and externally

Salary Range: $220,000 -$240,000

Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
