Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary:

MassBayCommunity College is seeking a qualified part-time Computed Tomography ClinicalInstructor for the current and future semesters. The ideal candidate will joina vibrant and inclusive educational community and possess a desire and abilityto work with a diverse population. This individual provides continuity for theclinical program. They ensure that students and our healthcare partners have apoint of contact for clinical matters, that students maintain their clinicalrecords, progress clinically, and adhere to college and hospital protocols.This clinical instructor conducts scheduled clinical visits for studentsparticipating in the clinical program. This person ensures the program operatesper the ARRT curriculum for Computed Tomography programs and that students havethe necessary documentation to be in the clinical environment. This roleinvolves working collaboratively with the Radiologic Technology programdirector and other program faculty to facilitate the smooth operation of theComputed Tomography program. The clinical instructor must have experience andcertification in computed tomography, communicate effectively, assess studentsobjectively, and work as part of a team.

Semester,Dates, Times:

Work:Fall (Sept-Dec), Spring (January-May)

Beginning Fall/ Sept-Dec 2025 Course: TO 220 Clinical Education I – 3credits. It begins in Fall 2025. (Track 2)

Beginning Spring/ Jan-May 2026 Course: TO 225 Clinical Education II – 3credits. It begins in Spring 2026. (Track 2)

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide students with a structured approach to organize paperwork for their attendance, clinical,b and other required clinical documents;

  • Communicate effectively and promptly with program officials on students’ academic progress and needs;

  • Visit students during clinicals and check in with preceptors about their progress;

  • Participate in evaluating courses and program learning outcomes;

  • Track student progress, contribute to the accreditation/compliance reporting, and annually/ regularly assess the program;

  • Adhere to established college, program, and hospital protocols and procedures, including the college calendar and deadlines;

  • Stay current about developments in the profession on the adjunct’s own time;

  • Use the College’s technology efficiently to effectively teach, assess, and communicate with students;

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean or their designee.

AdditionalResponsibilities and Duties:

The clinicalinstructor functions as Program Organizer to implement the program and assistin recruiting students. You are the connection between the clinical partnersand the college, and you help to resolve student concerns that arise. Workingalong with admissions and advising, you will communicate with prospectivestudents, assist with information sessions, and new student orientations. Thismay include scheduling classes and supporting other/new faculty of the program.Reporting on the success of the program is a part of this role. Some of thiswork occurs between semesters and during summer. This position is based inFramingham, but you will need to do some travel for clinical/site visits. Therewill be times, with advanced notice, when you may be required to be on campus.Much of this work can occur remotely.

These additionalduties and responsibilities are compensated at the hourly rate of $35/hr. Onaverage, it is expected to require 4-6 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of recent work experience in a Computed Tomography role or a relevant combination of Imaging work experience;

  • Teaching experience, which includes working at a Teaching Hospital, also applies here;

  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;

  • Organized and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;

  • Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments;

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $1,343.00 - 1,585.00 DCE Per Credit
