We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HRIS Analyst with expertise in Workday to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Workday to manage, optimize, and support the organization’s HR technology systems, ensuring alignment with HR strategies and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as HR Operations, Benefits, Finance, Payroll, and other HR functional areas to support HR system enhancements, testing, issue resolution and other technical projects.

Day-to-day, this role will serve as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot defects, resolve data discrepancies, enhance functionality for new business requirements and manage updates for the Workday Releases. The Senior HRIS Analyst will also be responsible for performing data analysis to ensure the system is properly recording specific metrics while ensuring information security, testing updates, and improving process efficiency.

Essential job functions and responsibilities:

  • Provide primary functional and technical support of HR applications (primarily Workday), including security access, maintenance, administration, and report writing.
  • Serve as the systems and process expert for implementations; lead projects around upgrades and configuration changes to align with business needs.
  • Configure Workday modules to meet business needs, including but not limited to Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Absence Management.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define system enhancements, and support new initiatives.
  • Identify and develop key business reporting and management dashboards for HR leadership.
  • Provide technical training and support, trouble shooting, and guidance to HR team and other users.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and understand statutory and regulatory requirements affecting HR, Benefits, Recruitment and Payroll systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge of privacy laws such as HIPAA and GDPR and ensure data is protected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience required. An ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience working with Workday HRIS, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead analyst role.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, and Core HCM required.
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement and a proactive approach to data integrity and exploring Workday’s evolving features.
  • Experience with system configuration, reporting, and data analysis in Workday.
  • Experience with Workday integrations, security settings, and data privacy standards is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and practices, security, data integrity, and system configuration and design.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and business groups.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated understanding of the concepts and issues unique to the management of HR data.
