Job Summary

The Software Development Technical Lead develops, plans and analyzes, designs products, and programs computer software that requires extensive research. Utilizes advance knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies. Developer will work as part of the Enterprise team supporting projects, development and infrastructure teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Performs software and system testing procedures, bug verification, release testing, and beta support.
  2. Performs product design and programming activities involving multiple modules or subsystems.
  3. Participate in design meetings and consultations with other staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
  4. Performs complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects and resolves problems found in the software.
  5. Prepare the documentation required of the product.
  6. Analyzes and researches software requirements to determine feasibility of design and marketing requirements within time and cost constraints.
  7. Write code in custom environments (C#, Sql, JavaScript, TypeScript, integrations etc.,).
  8. Expert level knowledge required assisting organizations in architecting, planning, testing and deploying solutions.
  9. Analyze business specifications and convert these into technical specifications.
  10. Provide requirement analysis & effort estimates for the development of new features or customization of existing features.
  11. Perform coding/programming tasks to specification and in accordance with development standards.
  12. Develop test plans and participate in code testing to ensure workability, completeness and quality.
  13. Provide on-going implementation/production support.
  14. Develop SQL Reporting Services Reports.
  15. Perform code promotion activities to ensure the synchronization of all environments.
  16. Provide analysis of the implementation standards and recommendations on the usage of standard features.
  17. Devise new models, processes and procedures.
  18. Regularly perform moderately complex coding/programming and debugging.
  19. Integrate logic and understanding of business operations and apply them in performing coding functions.
  20. Participate in and contribute to peer code reviews and design sessions.
  21. Manage 3-5 internal employees
  22. Manage 3-5 offshore consultants
  23. May consult with customer concerning application and maintenance of software.
  24. May coordinate installation of software system.
  25. May serve as a project architect.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BS Degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of application development experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in creating, implementing, and supporting custom software applications.
  • 5+ years in an architectural or team lead role in the design of multi-tier software solutions.
  • 5+ years in an architectural or team lead role in the design of web applications.
  • Experience in developing solutions with Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience in developing solutions with C#, .Net, .Net Core, Micro Services/Web APIs, SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, XML/JSON, React JS, SharePoint.
  • Experience with Software Development Processes (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall etc.).
  • Experience in using CI/CD processes (GIT, TFS, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience with SonarQube, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SalesForce.Com & Microsoft BizTalk is a plus
