JOB SUMMARY: The International Sales Manager targets, develops, secures, and maintains sustainable business of existing and prospective Cross border (XB) customers. This position develops sales strategies using a solution based selling approach, in order to achieve sales growth plans for target markets; works in partnership with Product Management, Commercial and Sales leadership to drive and retain revenue with a focus on XB markets and services including but not limited to international mail/parcels and International Distributed Print solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with Regional Vice President of Sales to ensure that all XB sales goals are met and/or exceeded. Grow revenue through new customer acquisition: Develop key XB target revenue opportunities and ensure that these revenue/product development goals integrate into the organization’s strategic plans. Strategically manage with the existing sales network. Gain new accounts by creating relationships with international mailers and global customers. Independently establish target accounts for key regional opportunities. Work with sales, implementation, and customer service to ensure all quality standards and customer expectations are met for all new parcel customers. Develop and present cross border solutions and conduct customer facility tours. Constantly improve skills and quality of selling through taking advantage of joint selling opportunities and training. Develop sales/service strategies, training, and solutions to maximize revenue growth and market share. Grow revenue through increasing customer retention: Support and enhance RSM /customer relationship by providing product support, competitive analysis, and targeted sales presentation. Research and address customer concerns and needs responding with appropriate solutions to earn customers satisfaction and loyalty. Ensure customer retention in conjunction with Client Relations Team. Expand, maintain, and manage multiple key accounts by ensuring superior customer service to earn excellent customer relationships. Support product management, commercial and Sales leadership in developing and executing tactical and strategic initiatives. Manage all new rate response and/or rate increase communication. Support all XB management projects. For example, margin review, market research and key growth projects. Maintain records/reporting requirements while achieving and exceeding minimum performance standards. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred or related work experience. 7 years related sales experience. Parcel, ecommerce, and logistics experience required. Experience with sales activity reporting software preferred. Proven track record in creating new revenue streams. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and planning skills. Strong analytical skills and presentation abilities. Quick to learn new skills and enjoys a challenge. Strong negotiation skills. Self-driven and highly motivated with a positive mental attitude. Must be able to work independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment. Results driven and highly customer focused. High achiever with a strong ability to build rapport & network effectively. Solution based selling skills. IT Requirements: Strong Microsoft Office skills required. Previous experience using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system (Sales Force.com preferred). Technical understanding of transfer and management. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting. Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift. Frequent standing and walking. Travel required (up to 60%).
