Summary:
Learns activities required to lay out work, set up appropriate equipment and area, and efficiently perform the assembly of customer equipment to meet or exceed production requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Learns to efficiently utilize resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and a minimum of one (1) year related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Effectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic knowledge of determining angles is required in order to properly fit components.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply a commonsense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Ability to earn and maintain forklift and overhead crane training and certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high and/or precarious places; fumes or airborne particles may require the use of respiratory protection. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require hearing protection.
