Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Quality and Patient Safety Program Manager is a dynamic & strategic role leading quality improvement and patient safety initiatives strongly grounded within behavioral health setting. Recognized for building and guiding high-performing, interdisciplinary teams to achieve measurable improvements in behavioral health outcomes. Skilled in fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Proven ability to align quality strategies with organizational goals, influence stakeholders at all levels, and drive sustainable change through evidence-based leadership.

 

Reporting to the Director of Quality & Patient Safety this position entails collaborative leadership across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and overall healthcare outcomes within a facility. The Program Manager plays a role in fostering a culture of quality and safety, driving continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in a behavioral health setting.



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in patient safety, healthcare quality, or related field (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical behavioral healthenvironment. (required).
  • Experience in program management within a healthcare setting (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of quality improvement methodology, patient safety, and improvement principles, as well as regulatory standards.
  • Background in leading quality and safety within healthcare settings.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.
  • Experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in healthcare quality and patient safety.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Advanced expertise in risk management principles and strategies.
