Principal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Analyst
Salary Grade: G04
Minimum Midpoint Maximum
$104,766 - $141,434 - $178,102
Personnel in this job title may be covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards. If the position is covered, prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.
SUMMARY:
Leads key infrastructure efforts to help define and implement solutions quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively in order to enable the business to gain the maximum benefit from technology and quickly realize a return on investment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical expertise and analysis for all areas of security technology
Provides technical expertise regarding standardization and architectural oversight for all infrastructure components
Leads and produces security architecture artifacts (policies, standards, procedures, etc.) used to leverage security capabilities
Develops and maintains detailed IT security architecture and engineering specifications, designs, and documentation
Creates detailed plans for and evaluates the success of integration of new systems architecture into existing architecture
Keeps abreast on emerging security threats, industry trends, technologies, products, and services and makes recommendations to various teams on their use
Leads and participates in technology remediation initiatives for non-compliant areas of lifecycle management
Represents the Cybersecurity & Digital Risk organization on the Enterprise Architecture Standards Board (EASB)
Participates in cybersecurity strategy sessions with organizational and cross-functional leaders
Leads, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the infrastructure cybersecurity workstreams of the organization
Leads technology process reviews with a focus on security by performing gap analysis

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, CS or other IT related major
10 or more years of experience in IT security, privacy and risk management domains
Information Security Certifications (CISSP, etc.) or other related security certifications
OR
8+ years of relevant experience, with an M.S. in a related field
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write complex reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:
Strong analytical skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment. Some travel is required.
