Analytics Developer- Remote US - Military veterans preferred

Responsibilities

Hexagon SIG Division is looking for an Analytics Developer to join the team. This position will be responsible for the design, implementation, technical documentation, and maintenance of components of application software that supports our Public Safety product suite. This application suite is a web-based set of solutions that support the Public Safety market providing dispatching and records management capabilities.

The focus of this position will be the implementation and maintenance of software that performs analysis and reporting on data generated within the Public Safety product suite. This includes design, coding, unit test development, automated test development, and supporting the development of user documentation.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience with:

• Application deployment and hosting in Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments
• Data analysis software such as Microsoft Power BI (or similar), including data warehousing, extract/transform/load (ETL) procedures, data models, etc.
• Database design including the use of views

Candidates should have demonstrable experience with:

• Software development of web-based applications using Docker
• Debugging applications and identifying root cause of software defects
• Programming or scripting languages
• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment

• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
• Experience with data analytics software such as Microsoft Power BI or similar, data warehousing, ETL processes, data models, etc. is required
• Experience in developing cloud-hosted applications and knowledge of cloud infrastructure architectures is required
• Experience in database design and administration, including views is required
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Factory is strongly preferred
• Experience using git is preferred
• Experience in web application development (including technologies such as TypeScript, React and Node.js) is preferred
• Experience in .Net development is preferred
• Experience in Java development is preferred
