Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Admissions/Admissions Counselor is an important part of the admissions team at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law.
This individual will work closely with the Director of Admissions to recruit qualified applicants to UK Rosenberg College of Law. The Assistant Director of Admissions/Admissions Counselor will be the primary point of contact for prospective students and will serve as a resource for undergraduate advisors. In addition, the position will stay up to date with law school admissions trends and best practices. They will represent UK Rosenberg Law at college/university law fairs, LSAC Forums, and other events. In addition, they will manage the travel of all those attending recruitment events on behalf of UK Rosenberg Law. Weekend travel may be required during the fall each year.
They will also develop, manage, and oversee prospective and admitted student visits to UK Rosenberg Law; supervise and advise the student ambassador team; develop and coordinate Alumni Recruitment efforts and manage admissions events.
As the key point person for prospective students, the Assistant Director of Admissions/Admissions Counselorwill develop, implement and manage a communication and social media plan for UK Rosenberg Law Admissions (under coordination with Director of Marketing & Communications).
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Experience with event coordination and working with students. Highly organized with the ability to manage timelines, speak publicly, and maintain flexibility with tasks.

Master’s and experience with higher education admission programs and/or corporate recruitment is preferred.
