Job Summary
This position supports in-house Release of Medical Record Information for the UKHC enterprise. Duties include processing all in-bound requests for medical records by fax, mail, portal and in-person; screening requests for required information based on state and federal law, regulatory guidelines and UKHC policies and procedures; looking up patient information, retrieving electronic, paper and microfilmed records; releasing records via fax, paper, portal or electronic media, invoicing, payment reconciliation and follow-up; customer service duties; certifying records; processing requests for amendments to the medical record; and collaborating with physicians and other internal record departments including Legal, Risk and Privacy.
