Description:


We are seeking a highly motivated BI Analyst / Reporting Specialist to join our Business Intelligence team. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about translating data into actionable insights, delivering clean, intuitive Power BI reports, and collaborating directly with department users to solve real-world business problems. You will work within a structured data warehouse environment, using curated data models. Your focus will be report building, visualization, documentation, data analysis and user engagement across business units. This is an in office position.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or equivalent reporting role.
  • Hands-on Power BI development experience (measures, visuals, slicers, bookmarks).
  • Proficiency with DAX fundamentals (calculations, filters, time intelligence).
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into visuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic SQL coding and SQL Server (SSMS) knowledge (comfortable querying tables and views).
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and be self-directed.
  • Ability to interact with generative AI to assist in workflow, code debugging, and in other areas where AI may be of value.
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology or related field preferred, but not required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Power BI Development

  • Create compelling and accurate Power BI dashboards and paginated reports.
  • Leverage existing semantic models and datasets to ensure consistency and reusability.
  • Apply visualization best practices (layout, interactivity, accessibility, KPIs).

Business User Engagement

  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
  • Gather requirements and iterate based on feedback.
  • Document report logic and usage guides for business users.

Data Accuracy & Support

  • Work with various departments and business analysts to determine data needs and fulfill those needs as required.
  • Validate report data against source systems or business expectations.
  • Escalate potential data quality issues to senior BI developers.
  • Provide first-line support for basic Power BI usage or data inquiries.

Documentation & Standards

  • Maintain a report inventory with business definitions
  • Create onboarding and support materials for recurring report use.
  • Contribute to BI team efforts to drive data literacy and adoption.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
