Job Description:
SUMMARY :
Operates and maintains bulk fuel while following Army, state, federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive , transport, store, a nd issue bulk fue l in support o f groun d an d aviatio n military unit s utili z i n g DODAA C provide d b y DPTM S . .
- Th e Contracto r shall operate North Fort Cavazos Fuel Issue Point(s).
- Operates a 5000-gallon Semi-trailer Tanker Bulk Fuel w/ Tractor 5-ton
- Performs operator checks and maintenance on assigned equipment
- Operates other fuel hauling equipment as necessary
- Fuel and defuel tactical and civilian vehicles as required
- Assist vehicle operators during vehicle re-fueling
- Maintain records and logs for fuel accountability of all fuel distributed
- Maintain all dispatch / vehicle logs according to state and federal regulations
NON- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements :
- Must have valid Texas Class A state driver's license w/ required HAZMAT / Tanker endorsements
- Must m aintain driving privileges to operate motor vehicle on military installations
- Must have current Fuel Handlers Certificate or be able to successfully complete the US Army Fuel Handlers Course
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred :
- Excellent personal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
- Prior work with military/government preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization . Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis . Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate hand tools.
WORK ENVIRONMENT /HOURS :
Job is performed indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions . The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location.
EXPECTATIONS:
Employee is expected to dress appropriately and be punctual for their shift. The employee must be dependable and have strong communication skills while meeting project deadlines. Must maintain accountability of PPE and required safety equipment.
