The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Business Processes and Systems is responsible for developing, managing, and enabling Supply Chain systems supporting commercial and clinical programs in the Technical Operations function. The successful candidate will be part of a cross functional team including IT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance to define and implement systems and technologies to support business processes and its associated IT systems. The position will be a key member in the Supply Chain team and will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, navigate ambiguities, adapt to new assignments, and drive results to ensure delivery of supply chain business systems milestones. A strong focus on compliance and regulation such as GxP, SOX, Regulated Systems, and appropriate post-go live support models will be key for this role.  

Roles & Responsibilities

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead as business process owner for ERP system, planning tool, and serialization to support ongoing commercial and clinical supply
  • In partnership with our Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Finance teams, develop a strategic product investment roadmap identifying business capability gaps 
  • Build trust with senior leadership by demonstrating a deep understanding of all business functions and advocating for strategic solutions instead of point solutions
  • Identify opportunities where technology can build competitive advantage while supporting our compliance and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Provide guidance and counsel on technology solutions available that drive capability improvements consistent with business direction
  • Proactively offer solution ideas and potential business process improvements in pursuit of driving efficiencies and meeting business needs through systems implementation 
  • Assure that GxP Regulated Systems requirements are met and that appropriate Computer Systems Validation is implemented for both new solutions and improvements to existing systems
  • Manage and lead supply chain owned change controls related to process and system updates 

Education & Licenses and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of supply chain operations, science or information systems 
  • 5+ years of business systems Operations experience in Life Sciences (Biotech, Pharma, Medical Devices). Applicable IT experience with a focus on GxP and SOX compliance is a plus
  • Experience with implementing ERP solutions in a GxP Regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business team leaders and create alignment on technology investment. 
  • Success managing enterprise IT transformation projects and enabling growth in pre-product launch companies
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in defining, implementing and managing business and technical solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate at both a technical level as well as at a business subject area level
  • Excellent influence skills and ability to influence senior executives as well as more junior team members
  • Quality driven, detail oriented with the ability to manage in a matrix organization
  • CSCP or CPIM certification is a plus

Competencies & Skills

  • Knowledge of core technologies is critical within a startup biotech organization. 
  • Experience with GxP requirements and the impact on Computer Systems Validation
  • Experience with implementing ERP solutions
  • Software Knowledge: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Smartsheet
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate and apply new technical knowledge based on departmental and corporate goals and objectives, work successfully in cross functional teams, effectively identify problems and develop flexible, scalable and cost-effective solutions
  • Ability to communicate complex technology concepts to executive management and the user community in a way that is connected to business objectives
  • Travel may be required up to 25% of time worked
