Administrative Assistant - Vice President of Academic Affairs
This person provides secretarial and administrative support to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Tasks include managing the sensitive, confidential affairs of the VPAA in a responsible manner; gathering information for budget regarding salaries, raises, overload and part-time payments; preparing purchase requisitions, travel forms and contracts; assisting in the coordination of new faculty searches, issuing contract letters, coordination of new faculty orientation program, and moving expense reimbursements. This person attends meetings, records and distributes minutes and prepares other correspondence for the General Education Committee, Academic Council and other academic committees and working groups.; coordinates the timely workflow of tenure and faculty review processes; coordinates the Faculty Evaluation Surveys; schedules appointments, arranges meetings, manages mail, screens phone calls, greets visitors, and organizes files and copying.
Performs administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.

Somewhat sedentary, keyboard skills, some travel (including between floors and buildings) is required. Occasional lifting of dossier boxes and office supplies.
