Research Specialist
The Research Specialist should have a solid background in basic lab techniques and experience with areas like molecular biology, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, immunoassays, and cell culture. They should be able to work independently, planning experiments and analyzing results on their own. The main focus of their work will be an independent project studying the molecular mechanisms of early development of ovarian cancer in cell model. A BS in biology or a related field is required.
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
Essential functions include performing experiments and analyzing data.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
