Manager Laboratory II



A Manager, Laboratory II position in the Jones laboratory of the University of Pittsburgh, Ophthalmology Department is available.

BS degree required in science field and 2+years' experience working in Ophthalmic research.


Job Summary

Prepares, plans, and implements full scope of research studies. Works on experimental projects and helps forge the direction of future projects and research. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.


Essential Functions

Sr. Lab Specialist position is responsible for routine operations in the Jones laboratory. Duties include purchasing, protocol maintenance, inventory, animal handling, spatial metabolomics, immunohistochemistry, and working with our the team.


Physical Effort

Ability to operate transmission electron microscopes, find motor control for handling electron microscope grids.
