Project Coordinator



In the department of Community Health Services and Rehabilitation Science, Doctor of Chiropractic Program, this position coordinates regular program activities and major events of the ENRICH Virtual Resource Center, supporting both University of Pittsburgh personnel and faculty and staff at multiple Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) partnering institutions. The ENRICH program aims to build research capacity at CIH partnering institutions through virtual didactic training and continuous programmatic support. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling all program meetings, organizing an annual application and award cycle for pilot research grants, planning an annual Virtual Summit and other programmatic support.

Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Job Duties

Schedules all program meetings, including meetings among program directors, advisory committee members, and between Pitt program personnel and the clinician-scientists, research administrators, and research staff at CIH sites

Administers the annual ENRICH pilot research grant application process in years 2 - 5 of the program. Publicizes the pilot program opportunity to CIH sites. Receives and logs proposals and communicates with applicants to clarify instructions and requirements. Organizes the recruitment and assignment of reviewers and provides them with proposals and scoring rubrics. Keeps records of review meetings and sends notices to awardees

Organizes the agenda and materials for the ENRICH annual Virtual Summit meeting

Schedules mock study sections (scientific review). Solicits proposals and disseminates materials to reviewers

Assist the ENRICH Digital Media Specialist to update and maintain information on the Virtual CIH Collaboratory (e.g., event calendars)

Organizes files for individual development plans (IDPS) and all other trainee and program records

Provides information as requested to ENRICH program directors for inclusion in annual progress reports

Performs other duties as assigned in support of the ENRICH program aims


Job Summary

Serves in an administrative capacity and provides administrative support to the project manager and other team members. Assists with fiscal management and compliance with federal regulations and the contracts. Manages day-to-day office operations and interacts with key stakeholders.

• Interacts with key stakeholders.
• Manages daily office operations (responding to and sending correspondence, notetaking, maintaining office calendars, scheduling meetings, processing orders), making reservations and travel arrangements, supporting the grant's social media presence, training and supervising
temporary and/or student workers, and handling other tasks.


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
