Clinical Research Coordinator I
Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.
The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurological Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator I. The clinical coordinator is responsible for enrollment of research subjects as well as for completing in-person testing and data collection sessions with these participants. This will help ensure continuous data collection, so this funding remains secure. In addition, assists with and adheres to IRB renewal, modification, and approved protocols to ensure ongoing compliance with institutional review board requirements.
Recruits research subjects through approved methods and may conduct qualitative research interviews in-person or digitally while adhering to all applicable protocols. Obtains informed consent from study participants when applicable and completes research assessments according to established protocols and procedures. Maintains study databases in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all applicable protocols and regulations for data integrity and security. Collaborates and communicates effectively with the qualitative research team to coordinate study activities and ensure consistent data collection practices. Assists with simple data analysis tasks and data acquisition procedures after receiving appropriate training from research team members. Serves as study liaison between research team members, participants, and external collaborators to facilitate communication and coordination of study activities. Assists with organization of manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals, including formatting, reference management, and preparation of supplementary materials with an opportunity to participate in manuscript writing. Assists with training new personnel as directed by principal investigator or senior research staff. The Minimum education to be considered for this position is a Bachelor of Science in related field.
