The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Clinical Placement Coordinator to support the Office of Clinical Partnerships within the Office of the Dean. This position plays a key role in facilitating clinical education across multiple academic programs in the School.

The Clinical Education Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for compliance and communication activities related to clinical education within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Working under the Director of Clinical Placement Operations and other central team members, this position supports the management of student and preceptor compliance records, assists with the maintenance of clinical education systems, and communicates directly with clinical sites and preceptors. The role ensures accurate documentation and supports processes that align with accreditation requirements and institutional policies.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently, make informed decisions based on established policies and procedures, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to build and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, clinical sites, preceptors, and other University departments.


Job Summary

Coordinates clinical placements by completing clinical affiliation agreements and managing the web-based platform for clinical education information coordination. Provides student training on the web-based platform and resolves technology issues, manages required student clearances, and coordinates annual student training. Provides relevant program and reportable information.


Essential Functions

Clinical Education Management

Serve as the administrative point of contact for clinical sites and preceptors.

Use the Clinical Education Management System (e.g., EXXAT) to:

Enter and update data related to students, preceptors, sites, and compliance requirements.

Troubleshoot access and technical issues for users.

Support training for students and faculty.

Ensure timely updates to site and student records.

Monitor student compliance and credentialing, including immunizations, background checks, training modules, and health system-specific requirements.

Maintain site and preceptor documentation (e.g., licenses, certifications, CVs, attestations, vetting forms) to ensure accreditation and program compliance.

Initiate and track affiliation agreements; verify documentation is current and complete.

Communicate with clinical sites regarding student assignments, onboarding requirements, and rotation logistics.

Administrative and Programmatic Support

Organize and maintain student academic and compliance files (electronic and physical).

Provide administrative support for programmatic mailings and communication workflows.

Maintain clinical education canvas and SharePoint site content in coordination with programs

Support evaluation and feedback processes by collecting and disseminating data from students, preceptors, and faculty.

Conduct outreach to clinical sites as directed by the Clinical Placement team to provide updates, resources, and follow-up on placement details.


Physical Effort

Minimal physical effort is required. Periods of standing, packaging of materials, lab set-up etc. Potential long periods of sitting.
