Epsilon Systems Solutions specializes in Systems and Software Engineering for intelligence/defense systems. We are looking for an Assistant Facility Security Officer for our Corporate office located in San Diego, CA to develop, implement, and enforce on-site security measures.  In this role, you will work closely with the FSOs at multiple locations. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will interface with all levels of Scaled personnel and government management personnel to ensure security compliance with 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Security Classification Guides.

  • Prepare and submit Subcontractor DD Form 254s.

  • Prepare and submit visit requests.

  • Prepare and submit CAC and other badge requests.

  • Submit Foreign travel into DISS.

  • Develop and implement local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans.

  • Develop and/or update security briefings.

  • Conduct security briefings.

  • Apply government regulations relevant to the protection of classified information and equipment.

  • Will be required to participate in security self-inspections, internal security program reviews, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

  • Assist in assessing the security impact of new business and provide security considerations for proposal and transition planning.

  • Coordinate with government agencies and customers for badges and facility access.

  • Implement and manage Security Education Program

  • Initiate personnel security clearances and periodic reinvestigations using e-APP, DISS and NBIS.

  • Conduct fingerprint scanning using Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWIFT) system.

  •  Oversees/Liaison for security technologies at the site. This may include surveillance systems, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other security-related technologies.

  • Maintain UL Cert, Containers, End of Day check logs, Visitor Logs, and Access Control Systems.

  • Conduct random inspections.

  • Ability to follow established standards and coordinate with multiple project managers

  • Order office supplies and ensure facility has supplies needed to always run efficiently.

 
Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 2 or more years of experience in Industrial Security, or commensurate related field experience.

  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

  • Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate internal and external customer relations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen to and retain instructions.

  • High Degree of Professionalism and attention to detail.

  • Must be adaptable and able to juggle competing demands while prioritizing work in a dynamic environment.

  • Must have knowledge of and experience with e-QIP, e-APP, DISS, NBIS, SWFT, NISS and 32 CFR 117 ( NISPOM).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DCID, ICD and DoD Manuals

  • SCIF experience

  • Excellent writing and communications skills

  • Broad level knowledge of security technologies, equipment, and applications

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $65,000-75,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.

  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).

  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
