Overview

  • Supports patient safety needs and provides patient monitoring. Provides patient with non-technical exam information.

  • Picks up supplies from pharmacy, cafeteria, etc.
  • Reviews and verifies that all upcoming imaging protocols have been completed by a radiologist, and notifies a technologists if there are some that are incomplete.

  • Provides patient transportation and escorts patients throughout the hospital as needed (inpatients and outpatients).

  • Stocks linen in exam rooms and stocks supplies in the holding areas.
  • Is flexible about rotating from one area of Diagnostic Radiology to another with ease.

  • Assists with the lifting, moving, and transfer of non-ambulatory patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Expereince in Patient Care
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Qualifications



  • CMA License
  • Previous Radiology aide experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET and General radiology imaging processes to assist with multi-tasked duties.
  • Experience with patient preparation for CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET and General radiology exams preferred.
  • Experience with Agfa RIS, Epic, and PACS systems.
  • Knowledge of ordering systems, using both logistics and outside vendors preferred.
