The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh seeks to recruit an Assistant Professor, Tenure Stream faculty member to join a large-scale and growing research effort in clinical neurotrauma. The Neurotrauma Clinical Trials Center currently holds several federal and industry grants investigating pathophysiology, novel biomarkers and imaging modalities, and novel treatments for traumatic central nervous system injury. The successful candidate will help steward these scientific endeavors by contributing to the academic productivity of the NCTC and its funded projects, while seeking external funding for their own line of research. This position will supervise the research coordinator staff and coordinate the grand rounds lecture series while prioritizing the efforts towards external funding and completing funded research projects.
The minimum education to be considered for this position is a PhD in Rehabilitation Science.
