Position Summary
The Vice President of Human Resources will lead the HR operations and to position the group as a strategic partner within a high growth distribution company. This executive will play a pivotal role in building an agile HR infrastructure, driving talent and development strategies, and shaping a resilient culture that thrives in a fast paced, operationally complex environment. This role requires both a strategic and hands-on approach to drive efficiencies and improvements in support of business priorities and the strategic direction of the organization.

Primary Duties
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the business growth strategy to scale the organization from $300M to $750M in revenue over the next 3-5 years
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the executive team and Board of Directors on all people related matters
- Develop workforce planning strategies that support business initiatives and enhance operational agility
- Collaborate with other executive team members to develop and execute due diligence strategies and onboarding initiatives to support strategic acquisition activities
Talent Management
- Implement and drive recruiting and onboarding programs to attract top talent across all roles of the organization
- Develop and manage learning and leadership development programs that support career growth and organizational agility
HR Operations and Compliance
- Oversee employee-related policies and systems including onboarding, performance management, compensation and offboarding
- Implement and manage compensation and benefits programs/strategies to support employee retention
- Ensure compliance with labor laws across multiple states and jurisdictions
- Partner with legal counsel, finance and operations teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence
- Inspire, develop and lead a growing HR team
Culture and Employee Engagement
- Lead, manage and execute employee communications strategies, initiatives, and tools that support and strengthen employees’ connections to the business
- Ensure successful delivery of the employee survey and execution of post results engagement
- Oversee employee relations and investigations within the business
Performance and Metrics
- Leverage HR technologies and automation to enhance operational effectiveness and drive data informed decisions
- Develop, track, and manage relevant KPI’s to identify areas of improvement and drive informed decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, and/or 10+ years of progressive related HR leadership experience
- Executive presence with the ability to influence and interact with all levels of the organization, including the Board of Directors
- Expansive knowledge of all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR operations, and employment law.
- Comprehensive multi-state knowledge of employment laws and regulations, legal/regulatory requirements, and experience managing these at the federal, state (California and Western US states), and local levels.
- Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset
- Strong analytical and strategic skills to use data to drive decisions and tackle challenges with creative solutions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience in strategic planning and organizational design within a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in HR or MBA in related field
- Senior level certifications (SPHR or SHRM-SCP)
- Experience in a high-volume distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing setting
- Passion for process optimization and continuous improvement
- Experience in managing and/or developing UKG or other comprehensive HRIS platforms

- Work is generally completed in an office environment. Frequent sitting, computer work and phone use are required, with occasional walking, standing, bending and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Salary
$180k-$250k plus uncapped Bonus potential and Equity Compensation
