Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Call Center Representative. The Call Center Representative is responsible for delivering high quality customer service by interacting with contacts by phone, email and live chat. The Representative provides information and generates interest in CMCo products and services; accesses customer needs and conducts follow up interviews as needed to deliver outstanding service. Seeking candidates with Minimum three years experience in a professional customer service or call center environment; High school diploma or equivalent, required; Sales experience, a plus.

Requirements for the Call Center Representative include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to learn web-based products such as Salesforce.

Physical requirements must be met for the Call Center Representative including the ability to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
