Bestica is hiring a Sr. Engineering Manager to provide services at Wright Patterson AFB located in Dayton, OH 45433.

ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Description Of Services: The employee shall provide professional engineering research and program management support and assistance necessary to aid in the mission accomplishment of the Airman Systems Directorate, Airman Biosciences Division 711 HPW/RHBA, Airman Readiness Optimization. The Airman Biosciences Division is an international center for research and technology evaluation in hazard mitigation, public health, contingency operations, performance enhancement, human systems integration, and clinical aerospace medicine disciplines including aeromedical evacuation. The division’s branches provide research and consultative capability for aeromedical, chemical, biological, and radiological health hazard needs, as well as research for the biomedical impact of flight. The research supports Air Force Medical Service research interests by creating high-performance, integrated systems for individualized operations enhancing health readiness. The Rapid Prototyping Cell area supports Air Force Medical Service research interests by creating high-performance, integrated systems for individualized operations-enhancing health protection.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The employee shall possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in technical science or engineering discipline.
  • The employee shall possess acquisition or engineering project/program manager background, with at least 5 years demonstrated experience supporting acquisition programs for the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • The employee shall possess at least 2 years demonstrated experience managing military system development programs, including performing design reviews, risk management strategies, DoD stakeholder engagement, and advanced technology or system demonstration, test, and evaluation.
  • The employee shall possess proven ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences (technical, sensitive, controversial), including experience delivering briefings to senior military leaders and supporting project/program reviews. Demonstrates strong listening skills, attention to nonverbal cues, and proactive identification and resolution of communication issues.
  • The employee shall possess the ability to create clear and concise technical reports and presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in conveying complex information. The employee shall possess a working knowledge of industry acumen to assist with compliance of policies, procedures, standards, and regulations in support of the DAF.
  • The employee shall possess the technical and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • The employee shall demonstrate the following work characteristics: ability to work independently and complete tasks without extensive guidance; attention to detail; extensive organizational skills & ability to set and achieve goals; initiative in performing tasks; ability to follow-up complex projects; ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel.
  • The employee should be proficient in Microsoft software programs, for example Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and Project.
  • The employee shall be able to be granted Secret Clearance, with the initiating the investigation immediately upon award.
  • The employee shall have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information. NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by start of performance.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Secret Clearance.
  • Possesses 10+ years of DoD Engineer experience.
  • Possesses 5+ years of DoD Program management experience.
  • Has familiarity with military and medical terminology demonstrated by experience.
