Overview

Work Location: This is a remote work from home position

Compensation: $70k + (DOE) annually / Exempt level

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains responsibility of data governance framework inc. defining roles, RACI, data quality rules, and business facing tools (business glossary, metrics glossary, report glossary)
  • Responsible for development of policies (with Data Owners) covering Access, Classification, Privacy, Security etc. and for providing ongoing support and challenge to drive compliance through Data Owners and Data Stewards
  • Owns process and tools to determine access control (e.g. Purview) and usage/access tracking
  • Designs and product manages Business-facing tools like Business / Metric Glossary and Report Catalog
  • Establish and owns a data quality capability to set standards, track measurement and enable remediation of data issues
  • Serves as SME for data capture / management processes & systems
  • Chairs gov. forums and proactively works with the business to champion/understand good practice
  • Establish Data Governance Roles & Responsibilities
    • Confirm roadmap for data governance
    • Define data domain ownership & stewardship
    • Set up Data Governance RACI / interaction model
  • Data Catalogue, Lineage, Metadata: 
    • Design and product manage creation of business-facing tools like Business / Metric Glossary and Report Catalog
  • Data Quality:
    • Enhance & regularly review data quality reporting
    • Develop a data quality playbook, including remediation processes & SLAs
    • Establish Data quality working group to triage data issues & agree remediation
    • Master data quality rules & publish as business-facing tool
  • Reference & Master Data:
    • Develop golden record to understand master data for each key data object
    • Compile automated historic & go-forward master data history - based on golden record
    • Review master data quality vs create / update processes (CRUD matrix) 
    • Work with business changes to process to support improved quality
  • Policy, Compliance, Privacy & Security
    • Access classification & usage policies created & implemented
    • Set up & manage access controls (incl data anonymization)
    • Reporting & data usage tracking built & monitored 


Qualifications



Qualifications and education requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Strong work ethic that exhibits high ethical and moral standards
  • 3 -5 years’ experience in comparable role
  • Collections / ARM experience preferred  
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, manage time effectively to ensure production standards are always maintained
  • Experience writing queries to extract data from a data warehouse (SQL, SAS, Python, etc….)
  • Ability to multi task and manage your time, as well as, manage deliverable of other to ensure deadlines are met

Physical requirements:

Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols

Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach

Ability to reach with hands and arms

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs
