SunSource, a national leader in value-add industrial distribution, is seeking a Sales Training Manager to lead our early-career development program for new sales professionals. In this high-impact role, you’ll design and manage a structured onboarding and training experience for recent graduates and early-career hires – preparing them for successful, long-term careers in industrial sales.

What You'll Do

  • Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Collaborate with the HR team and participate in recruiting strategies and events throughout the year
  • Conduct onboarding sessions to familiarize new hires with company culture, values, and sales processes
  • Lead a Sales Training Program
  • Design, implement, and evolve a comprehensive 6–12-month onboarding and training program
  • Develop and deliver training content: sales techniques, product knowledge, CRM, territory management, and more
  • Use engaging delivery methods (virtual, classroom, and hands-on role plays)
  • Establish performance benchmarks and track trainee progress
  • Coach and Mentor Talent
  • Provide coaching and feedback to help trainees develop critical selling skills
  • Pair new hires with mentors, monitor progress, and guide career development plans
  • Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and motivation
  • Collaborate Across the Business
  • Partner with sales leadership, HR, and regional managers to recruit top candidates
  • Align training with company sales strategy, product priorities, and market dynamics
  • Continuously gather feedback and adjust program for ongoing success

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, or Technical field preferred)
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience (industrial, distribution, or manufacturing preferred)
  • Prior experience managing a sales training program for entry-level / recent graduates is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence, energize, and inspire a team
  • Willingness to travel 10–15%
