Overview

IDC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner to join our IT Enterprise Apps team, supporting a suite of back-office applications. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), proven experience collaborating with Finance stakeholders, and a track record of successfully managing cross-functional project implementations. In addition to Finance, this role offers the opportunity to partner with HR and Legal teams, contributing to broader enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a balanced mix of technical acumen and functional insight, playing a key role in optimizing existing systems and aligning technology solutions with evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build the roadmap and backlog for the initiatives for the Finance, HR and Legal functional areas
  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements and user stories for technical teams
  • Develop detailed program and project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management
  • Facilitate productive conversations with business stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication regarding projects in flight and the new ones in the pipeline
  • Closely working with the external consultants and vendors and internal resources across business analysis, development, testing, and deployment phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), driving accountability and ensuring quality deliverables
  • Oversee multiple workstreams within a larger program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and managing interdependencies and risks effectively
  • Proactively identify and address project risks and issues, employing strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex environments
  • Utilize a broad set of interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration, manage conflicts, and facilitate effective communication among diverse stakeholders


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT product management, specifically within the back office Enterprise Applications space. Preferred – Microsoft D365 (F&O), UKG, Workday and Contract Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of Software Development and the SDLC; experience in software implementation projects is highly desirable
  • Proven experience working as a product owner with expertise in backlog management as well as story writing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to approach challenges proactively and develop innovative solutions

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between 137,500. and 155,000. and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
