Understanding foreign weapon systems—lethal and non-lethal—is critical to preparing U.S. and Coalition forces for the future battlefield. What if your knowledge of foreign military technologies could directly impact national security and Marine Corps readiness?

Build Your Career:

At JCTM, we value knowledge, experience, integrity, and commitment. Joining our team means becoming part of an organization that empowers individuals, prioritizes ethical practices, and fosters a culture of collaboration and growth.

Challenging Projects:

As a Junior Weapons Systems Analyst with JCTM, you will assess current and future foreign military capabilities. Your work will inform senior decision-makers and operational forces by analyzing global weapon systems developments and their implications for U.S. and allied forces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce assessments that support the U.S. National, Defense, and Acquisition Communities on foreign military systems and technological developments.
  • Create and deliver written intelligence products and oral briefings in accordance with the Marine Corps’ Program of Analysis (POA) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Research and evaluate foreign technology assimilation and its potential military impact.
  • Identify and address intelligence gaps, recommend collection strategies, and compose requirements to support ongoing analytic efforts.
  • Integrate complex data from multiple sources to determine significance, relevance, and potential impact of emerging threats.
  • Maintain awareness of assigned portfolios and actively collaborate with MCIA counterparts and other IC stakeholders to ensure analytical integrity and coordination.
  • Contribute to peer reviews and support intelligence community coordination of analytic products.

State-of-the-Art Technology:

Work with advanced analytical tools and methodologies that support the development of in-depth assessments for tactical, operational, and strategic decision-making.

New Skills:

Gain practical experience analyzing technically complex defense systems and deepen your understanding of military trends, emerging threats, and global proliferation patterns.

Room to Grow:

You will receive mentorship and have opportunities to expand your expertise into specialized domains such as foreign defense acquisition, weapons engineering assessments, and threat forecasting.

You Have:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to military studies, engineering, international relations, or intelligence; or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting relevant all-source analysis, with at least a portion within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrated understanding of IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools to produce clear, timely, and concise analytic reports and presentations
  • Ability to use structured research approaches and complex analytic methodologies to support assessments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to defend conclusions and adapt judgments as new information arises

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity and its Program of Analysis
  • Experience with foreign technology transfer assessment and defense industrial base vulnerabilities
  • Understanding of Intelligence Community Directive standards (ICD 203, 206, 208)
  • Exposure to structured analytic techniques such as ACH, Red Team Analysis, or Alternative Futures Analysis

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
