As we continue to expand, we are seeking a temporary audiovisual (AV) Technician - I to join our dynamic team in the Lake Forest, California area.


Position Summary: 

The temporary Audiovisual (AV) Technician I with prior experience in the construction and AV/IT trades. In this role, you will work under direct supervision and support a variety of tasks as assigned by the team.  Responsibilities include assisting with AV/IT-related work, following detailed instructions, and supporting senior technicians during project execution. This role plays a key part in the successful delivery of AV installations. While this is a temporary position, your contributions will be important to the team's overall success and project outcomes.

Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Previous experience installing AV/IT systems is preferred. 
  • Must maintain a valid state installation license and/or certificate as required by state law. 
  • Must attain a powder actuated tool certification. 
  • Working knowledge of AV/IT trade tools preferred. 
  • Capable of using construction equipment inclusive of, but not limited to scaffolding, lifts, hoists, pulleys, etc. 
  • Must have basic computer skills including proficiency using Windows and MS Office. 
  • Capable of installing and mounting AV equipment including speaker systems, flat panel displays, projectors, and projection screens to various structure types. 
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment as needed. 
  • Projects vary in length and locations. Occasionally, jobs may be outside of the local area requiring overnight travel and stays that could range from one night to several nights away. 
  • Work hours will vary according to individual projects. Some jobs may require early, late, or weekend commitments. 
  • he working environment requires the use of various power tools and exposure to electricity, heights,construction hazards, etc. Therefore, all employees are required to take the necessary actions and precautions to ensure that practical safety techniques and measures are employed. 
  • Work sites vary from finished executive boardrooms to new construction sites. Most of the work is indoors, but site conditions vary drastically. Appropriate dress is required. 
  • Mobility must include walking, climbing ladders or scaffolding, visiting customer sites, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, standing, and kneeling and crouching for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to see, hear, have good eye/hand/foot coordination, and be able to work in hot, humid places and cold places. 


Responsibilities

  • Meet company performance and work standards and practice quality installation techniques. 
  • Inform the Foreman or Project Manager of any changes to the scope, schedule, and costs. 
  • Report job progress and issues to the Foreman or Project Manager at the end of each workday. 
  • Complete equipment installations and wire pulls as directed. 
  • Perform the assembly and installation of equipment, materials, and systems as directed, specified, and 
  • required in the work orders and project documentation. 
  • Responsible for reading and understanding assigned project documentation and work orders and determining if additional information is required. 
  • Responsible for the protection and security of equipment and materials, including owner-furnished andnew equipment in transit and on the worksite, until the job is turned over to the owner. 
  • Responsible for protecting interior finishes, including work by Avidex and other trades, from dust and damage in the work area. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. 
  • Responsible for assisting with gathering all equipment manuals from boxes, unused installation equipment and materials, and passing them on to the Project Manager at the close of each job. 
  • Work with the Foreman or Project Manager to ensure that physical completeness is in accordance with the project plan, drawings, and specifications. 
  • Follow safety standards as required by OSHA and management. 
  • Attend site and department safety and coordination meetings as required. 
  • Attend training classes and maintain certifications as required by management.
