General Summary

EMU OT program is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer to lead one section of fieldwork experience in the Fall, 2025 semester.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The part time lecturer will supervise students and guide and support them through assessment, intervention, documentation and any assigned projects. They would be responsible for teaching and grading performance. They also have obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned fieldwork time for pre-brief and debriefing of their session., assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to the School, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules. They need to be available on Tuesdays from 2pm to 5 pm and other times to meet the students for prep from the last week of August to mid-December, 2025.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a Master's degree or above.
  • The candidate must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan.
  • The candidate must have experience working with older adults.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years OT practice experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience with teaching / clinical supervision of Occupational Therapy students is preferred.
