The HR Generalist will support all human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and onboarding.

You’ll be the go-to resource for both management and employees, ensuring HR practices align with company goals and employment regulations. This role is in-office and based in Sparks, Nevada.



Position_Description :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers and union representatives to fulfill workforce needs
  • Administer and maintain compliance with I-9 verification processes, including those for foreign workers in U.S. Territories
  • Manage onboarding, new hire orientation, and employment documentation
  • Support day-to-day HR operations and respond to employee inquiries
  • Maintain HRIS and personnel records in compliance with company and legal standards
  • Assist with benefits administration, workers' compensation claims, and open enrollment
  • Contribute to employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws




Position Requirements :

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience in Construction or related industries
  • Experience working with unions for hiring and labor coordination is required
  • Proven experience with foreign worker I-9 verification, especially in U.S. Territories, is required
  • Solid knowledge of employment and labor laws (multi-state preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
